The modular green roof system MobiRoof consists of cassettes filled with substrate. In addition to the sedum planting, the MobiRoof Sedum & WildFlower planting contains a wildflower mix with a variety of flowers, flowering herbs and ornamental grasses (20-24 species). The wildflower mix ensures a great look and increases the biodiversity on the roof through different heights, flowering times and colors.

The lightweight and relocatable cassette system is already completely covered in vegetation when it is delivered. The cassettes are equipped with a substrate that, in addition to its function as a cultivation floor, also ensures drainage and water storage. The cassettes are simply placed next to one another, creating a green roof in no time at all.

MobiRoof is suitable for flat roofs and roofs with a slope of up to 10 degrees (20%).

The material from which the cassettes are made consists of a recycled raw material that is fully recyclable.

Gravel should be placed on the outer edges of the roof and around roof windows or gutters, for example, to promote the microclimate and prevent wind influences under the cassettes.

The MobiRoof system can be used on both flat roofs and roofs with light
Inclination (up to approx. 10° or 20%) possible. MobiRoof can be installed without additional equipment.

If the roof covering does not offer root protection, a root protection film must be installed as a barrier. To protect the roof covering, a filter fleece between the roof covering and the cassettes is recommended.

Maintenance should be carried out once or twice a year and should include the following points:

• General controls: Weeds and seedlings of trees and shrubs should be removed
• Pour: In extreme cases of drought, irrigation is necessary.
• Pruning: Pruning can change the composition of sedum, plants and flowers
  manipulated. Leave the green roof alone preferably from December to July. September is the best month for pruning because most bees have completed their life cycle by then. Fine clippings can be left on the roof, but larger clippings should be removed.
• Gradual pruning: Since there are various useful species on and in the green roof, a gradual pruning is desirable. Cut the roof surface into strips or corners and leave a part (15-30%) untouched. A few weeks later, the remaining part can be pruned.
• fertilization: To keep the plants healthy, green and full, it is important to fertilize them. Fertilization promotes soil fertility and contains nutrients for the plants. Fertilization only needs to be done once or twice a year in spring and autumn.

Recommendation

• We recommend attaching a filter fleece to the root separation film, onto which the cassettes can be laid so that the green roof does not damage the roof structure. No additional substrate is required on site.
• For the MobiRoof ECO Sedum & Wildflower we recommend installing additional irrigation.
• The accessories, such as the root separation film or the filter fleece, are not part of our delivery range. You can purchase these from the building supplies store/construction wholesaler.
